Red-y for Santa

If you can't already tell, this is my favorite time of year. The decorations, the jolliness, decorations, movies, family and friend get togethers... I love it all. And as the holiday spirit continues to grow in me, I find myself wearing Christmas' very own colors :) I'm RED-y

Wearing a few key pieces to my fall/winter wardrobe: joggers and black heels.
These black heels were a Cyber Monday j'adore purchase. They are perfect for a casual outfit, a night out, and even for work-- plus, black goes with just about everything.
I wanted to play with color blocking neutrals so here you have dark grey, black, and white. I don't usually play with too many colors- I was going to go for a black v neck or a black blazer but because of my jolly mood, stuck to this bright red blazer and the white boyfriend tee was a 'hot' pop.
What I really loved about this look was how it looks so relaxed (I sure felt relaxed too) but this blazer adds a touch of night life. :)

I wore this to a 'wine tasting' theme family and friend gathering at home.

Tis the season from me to you

My holiday card from me to you <3
On that note, it's been a while since I've done a post and hopefully I'll keep you up during the holidays :)

I wanted to do another post on one of my most recent looks with this Philip Lim for Target top for two reasons:
1. It's okay to wear a piece more than once... and post a picture of it -- Be creative when you do
2. Sooooo comfortable and fabulous pop of colors

I'm seeing the pajama look everywhere from E! photos to the red carpet and with this cold-weather-stay-home-in-the-warm feel, I'm dying to find myself a perfect piece for the holidays. But in the mean time, I'm taking advantage of this pajama top and spicing it up in an edgy way with these faux leather pants and heels- keeping the rest of this look neutral makes the top turn heads. Because the top is a little over-sized to have worn nothing underneath, I wore a simple white tank (royal blue tank would look fab too).

This was my look on Black Friday for some fun and exciting holiday shopping. I've been in such a mood to wear heels lately, I didn't even care for the long lines I would have to stand in. These booties are amaze- I would wear them for a casual day, a night out, or even with sweats (sweats and heels trending like crazy now, love!). These have a quilted texture which is so IN.

I've never been a big beanie person. I don't remember even wearing beanies but I'm very into them this season. Personally, I like loose ones on me but there are such cute ways to wear them. I chose an off white beanie here to pull the look together since I had chosen a white tank top.

Fall in Plaid

Happy early Monday loves! I hope you had a great weekend. I wore this outfit for a Sunday Funday afternoon with my family.

So I've been keeping my posts short and sweet but I have some things to share for this one and I hope you'll enjoy. :)
Some styles stay the same from year to year... With fall comes the plaid, the boots, the over sized sweaters, yummy scarves, and what not but this year I'm loving the 'tied-button-downs-around-the waist' look especially plaid and denim button downs as you see here. (Also in a previous post) I think its edgy and chic.
Because the plaid shirt has minimal grey accents, I went for a grey v neck sweater to make the plaid pop on top of the black cargo pants and this quilted jacket. The faux leather jacket definitely pulls the look together making it extra edgy and 'rocker' look; some may even think it looks 'bad'. It was a little chilly than the past few days so I brought out the ankle boots but I was contemplating Converse sneaks.

As I mentioned on one of my Instagram pictures, I'm growing a love for lip sticks. Saturday night I tried this Dolce & Gabbana Ruby lip stick. Simply J'ADORE. Loved it so much I wanted to wear it today.
I woke up late so I didn't have time to do my hair. I was debating putting my hair up because I sure was not going to keep it down. But since I was feeling extra edgy and I had the lip stick on, I thought this black Gucci hat would bring the whole look together..

Saving the best for last... a little bit about the bracelet... That's my name and this is an affirmation bracelet BCBGeneration sent me as one of the prizes for winning their fall Instagram contest. I'll do a post on the contest and prize details this week.
Get a hold of an affirmation bracelets. They make a statement and they're super chic.

This is definitely one of my favorite outfits I put together so far this fall!! What do you think?

Sheer lovin'

This post is for the goodness of Friday night fiesta! After a long week, I'm sure you want to take a steaming hot shower, spread the lotion, grab that oh my gawd outfit, slip on the heels, grab the confidence, and down that drink... I sure do!

I wore this outfit last weekend to a night in the New York City with the best of company. I fell asleep watching KUWTK and got ready to Yeezy's album so take a wild guess what mood I was in? KimYe mood all the way!

The one piece I knew I wanted to wear was this long sheer forest green cardigan. I didn't think I'd wear this at all but KimYe has been wearing it so much and in so many ways that I have slowly grown to love it so when I saw this hanging on the Nordstrom racks... I HAD TO HAVE it.

I think this cardigan is a statement for itself right now so I wanted to work around it. Being in 'Kanye mood', you know what I'm going to work with- black and leather.
I am wearing a black cotton spandex jersey halter leotard bodysuit, leather shorts, and my favorite open toed booties of the time that are also black with dark grey blocks.

I wasn't exactly planning for a post here because the quality of the pictures aren't so good. But I loved this look so much that I had to share! Most of the high lighting on the pictures are from Instagram!! Oh how I love that app.

Rainy Fallin'

Heeeeeelllo fashion lovers!

I've been away from my blog this week... it has just been so hectic. I have several posts to share so I'll try to keep you up as soon as I can.

I titled this Rainy Fallin' because even though the rain wasn't falling while I was taking the pictures and it seems like it was a sunny day. It was really raining throughout the entire day and stopped later on in the afternoon.

This was the first time I brought out the rainboots this Fall and let me tell you, that is probably one of the only reasons why I like the rain... because I love my rainboots- these Burberry boots are my favorite

On rainy days, I usually stick to basics as you can tell- tights and an oversized long sleeve shirt But I love leather and I think it definitely adds the umph to the outfit as well as the day.
BUT nothing tops this look more than this uhhh-maze scarf! Bring out the scarf ladies, keep those breasts warm:)

P.S. How do you feel about the mustache ring? Some people laugh at it. Some people like it. And some people like my sister absolutely hate it. I like it. I think its fun. No?

Philip Limmin'

Heeeeeeello fashionistas!

Guess who I'm wearing? I'm positive you know! PHILIP LIM for Target. His collection is J'ADORE! So amazing, it sold out like crazy. I went to a nearby Target the same day his line released and I was not able to find any Smalls or Extra Smalls. So the day after, I stopped at another Target and found two smalls and mediums in a very hidden spot- I grabbed them right away and took them to the dressing room. I fell in love!!

I wore the leopard tuxedo shirt like this for the first time. I'll definitely be using this shirt often and I'll keep you updated on how I wear it in different ways. It's so versatile!

Again, my technique is to focus on one piece I really want to wear and then work around that piece.
Because the shirt is vibrant, I went for black pants that are SO comfy. Because this shirt fits a bit oversized and the pants are also relaxed, I chose this fitted top with ruffles to make this a more appropriate look for work.
The final touch to make this outfit official for work was... can you guess?... the shoes! You can't go wrong with beige AND gold accessories.

As of now, I am a substitute teacher, and on this day, I was called in to substitute a 1st grade class. So I wanted to go for a FUN looking shirt. It was between this one and a cream white button down with horses but I went for PHILIP LIM because I had been wanting to wear him and still haven't.. plus, the colors here are more vibrant.   What do you think?

P.S. Don't be scared to shop at Target. They have absolutely fabulous finds, and the best part, for low prices. It's not about the brands. It's how you wear it.
And as long as you wear it with confidence, you will rock the look!

Over All Classsy

So this weekend, I attended New York City White Box Art Show.
It was definitely a Sunday Funday with good company and good food--
btw, I SO recommend Dudleys, their burgers are delicious!

I've been seeing the overall madness rolling in for some time now, so I got this piece when I was in Spain. I wasn't loving the overalls but I figure I can work with the black and step out of my comfort zone one of these days. A day in New York City? Bring on the risk!

I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to wear. The one piece I knew I wanted to wear was this hat which happens to be one of my favorites right now. And as an Instagram addict that I am, I came across Kourtney Kardashian's Instagram and wowwwzzzza, I loved it!! I am obsessed with her sense of style so the instant I saw this, I had to recreate it!
I gave this look my own fall touch with the booties and the hat.
